Its name, the two roads, recalls an old junction of routes, and the area is still defined by through traffic: Avenida Francisco de Miranda crosses it, and Line 1 of the Caracas Metro has a station bearing its name. North of the neighbourhood the land rises steeply toward El Ávila.
