Prangli lies in the Gulf of Finland a short distance off the north coast of Estonia, northeast of Tallinn beyond the Viimsi Peninsula. It is small, low and fairly compact, covered with pine forest, juniper and meadow, with sandy and stony shores and a few tiny islets nearby.
