Río Grande Map Poster & Print
Río Grande is on the Atlantic coast of Argentine Tierra del Fuego, on flat, open steppe near the southern end of the continent. On a map the city is a broad, regular grid pressed against a straight shoreline, and the Río Grande estuary curves along the northern side before opening into the sea.
The city is the island's industrial centre. It grew under a special tax regime that brought electronics assembly plants here, and neighbourhoods spread steadily inland across the plain. The river itself is known worldwide among anglers for its large sea-run brown trout.
A Río Grande map poster reads almost like a diagram. The clear coastline and the looping estuary are set against rows of straight streets, with roads leading away across empty land toward Ushuaia in the south and the Strait of Magellan in the north. It suits the stark light and space of the place.

Open coastal grid
Straight streets fill the flat land in long, even blocks, a clear geometry made possible by the level Patagonian steppe.
Atlantic shoreline
The seafront runs clean and almost straight along the city's edge. On the print it is a single decisive line against open water.
