The Panglao channel
A slim strip of water divides the city from Panglao Island. The bridges across it appear as short, precise strokes, and they turn two coastlines into one connected composition.

Tagbilaran City Map Poster & Print
Tagbilaran City is the capital of Bohol and sits on the island's southwest coast. On a map the city holds a thin strip of shoreline and then spreads inland in a loose web of streets. Offshore, Panglao Island sits so close that the water between them looks more like a river than open sea.
The port is where the city's roads converge, since ferries from Cebu and other Visayan islands dock there. From the harbour, the main roads run north along the coast and east toward the island's interior. Between those roads, smaller residential streets fill the land and gradually give way to green space at the city limits.
Historically, the shoreline district of Bool is linked to the 1565 blood compact between the Spanish navigator Miguel López de Legazpi and the Boholano chief Datu Sikatuna, an event the province still commemorates. A Tagbilaran City map poster shows that shoreline, the channel and the streets behind the port as fine black lines on a quiet ground.

Harbour at the centre
The port gives the street pattern its anchor. Roads run outward from the waterfront, which is why the harbour reads as the natural starting point of the map.
Coast-hugging roads
The main routes follow the shoreline before they turn inland. On paper they form a long curving edge against the white of the sea.
