Valley-floor town
Buildings and streets gather on the flatter ground in the valley. This gives the town a long, directional shape that follows the natural corridor through the hills.

Wangyin Map Poster & Print
Wangyin is in eastern Gansu, in the loess country of the upper Wei River basin. From above, the landscape reads as ridges and gullies, with terraced slopes cut into the soft yellow earth. The town sits in the lower, flatter ground where building is easiest. Roads follow the valleys closely instead of crossing the high land between them.
That gives the street map a clear logic. The built-up area stretches along the valley floor, with side lanes branching into the smaller gullies. The main routes keep to the lowest ground available. The surrounding hills look almost empty in comparison, marked only by thin tracks and field edges that follow the contours of the terraces.
A Wangyin map poster shows a town shaped almost entirely by its terrain. It suits people with family ties to this part of Gansu, or anyone drawn to places where landform, not planning, set the direction of every street.

Loess gullies
Narrow side valleys cut into the surrounding plateau. Where lanes and tracks reach into them, the print picks up a fine, branching pattern around the edges.
Terraced slopes
The hillsides are worked into terraces. On the map they show up as faint contour-like lines that give the open ground a subtle texture.
