Wugang Map Poster & Print
Wugang lies in the south-west of Hunan province, administered as a county-level city within Shaoyang. The urban area occupies low ground among hills, with a compact older centre surrounded by the broader, straighter avenues of recent expansion. Farmland and villages fill the gaps between the hills around the edges, so the built-up area has a clear, contained outline on the map.
Wugang has served as a regional administrative seat for many centuries, and parts of its old city wall still stand near the centre. Across Hunan the name is also familiar from food: Wugang is known for its braised dishes, sold in shops and markets well beyond the city. The surrounding hills and farmland keep the city closely tied to its countryside.
A Wugang map poster shows a mid-sized Chinese city in plan: the tight, irregular lanes of the old core, the wide boulevards and large blocks of newer districts, and the older roads linking them to the countryside. Around the fringes, hills leave empty space that frames the city on every side like a wide margin.

New districts
Wide, straight avenues and large blocks spread outward from the centre, the typical pattern of recent Chinese urban growth, adding strong geometric lines to the map.
Hilly margins
Low hills and farmland surround the urban area, leaving generous white space at the edges of the frame and giving the city a clearly defined outline.
