Humbe Map Poster & Print
Humbe is in Cunene province in southern Angola, near the Cunene River, which flows south and west toward the border with Namibia. The land here is flat and dry for much of the year, yet it is shaped by water. River channels, seasonal wetlands and floodplains leave their marks across the country around the town.
On the map the settlement is a modest gathering of streets, set among the looping lines of watercourses and the open ground of the plain. Roads connect Humbe with other towns in the province, and they run in long, straight lines, since the flat terrain presents few obstacles. Mapped detail is limited, so the plan stays simple.
A Humbe map poster is a spare, calm image. It shows the balance that defines life in this region, between the dry land and the river that supplies it, and it gives people with roots in Cunene a clear picture of home.

Floodplain country
Low-lying ground around the town floods in the wet season, and its channels and pale areas give the map a soft, natural texture.
Long straight roads
Roads cross the plain in long, direct lines linking Humbe to the rest of the province, a firm contrast to the winding water.
