Ilongero Map Poster & Print
Ilongero is in the Singida Region of central Tanzania, on the high plateau a short distance northeast of the town of Singida. This is dry, open country with seasonal rains, scattered granite outcrops and farmland worked by small households. Settlements here tend to be spread out rather than packed around a single centre.
On the map, that pattern appears as a web of tracks and footpaths linking homesteads, fields and a small central cluster of buildings. The road toward Singida gives the drawing its main axis. The rest of the lines are irregular, following the lie of the land and the edges of the plots.
An Ilongero map poster is therefore quiet and sparse, closer to a sketch of a landscape than a city plan. For people connected to the area, that openness is exactly the point. It records how a rural community is laid out, with space between the houses and paths worn by daily use.

Footpath web
Narrow paths and tracks connect scattered homesteads and fields in irregular loops, giving the map a delicate, almost hand-drawn quality.
Open plateau
Wide gaps between the built-up areas reflect the spread-out pattern of rural settlement on the central plateau, leaving much of the poster calm and open.

This is a map for people with family in Singida Region, for those who worked or studied here, and for anyone who likes a spare, minimal image. It records a place that rarely appears on printed maps at all.
Add a family name, a date or a short line as the title and subtitle, and adjust the coordinates line. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand suits the colours of the dry plateau.
