Kouvola Map Poster & Print
Kouvola is a city in south-eastern Finland, in the region of Kymenlaakso. It became much larger in 2009, when it merged with several neighbouring municipalities, and now covers a wide area of forest, farmland and lakes. The main town centre is compact, and on a map most of the municipality is open, lake-dotted countryside.
Kouvola grew as a railway junction, and it is still an important stop where lines from Helsinki meet routes heading east and north. The Kymi River flows through the area in a long course toward the Gulf of Finland. Repovesi National Park, known for its cliffs and lakes, lies partly within the city's borders.
A Kouvola map poster shows a typical Finnish combination of rail, water and forest. The railway lines meet near the centre, while small lakes and the winding Kymi fill the space around it. In black and white, the lakes read as scattered shapes across the whole sheet.

Lakes and forest
Small lakes scattered across the municipality appear as irregular shapes on the map, surrounded by forest roads and scattered settlements.

ແຜນທີ່ທີ່ມີຄວາມໝາຍ
Kouvola is meaningful to those who grew up in Kymenlaakso, to conscripts who served in the area and to anyone with a summer cottage nearby. The mix of lakes and railways makes for a calm, balanced map.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a village name or a year. There are five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Blueprint suits the lakes especially well.
