Cane field plots
Broad agricultural parcels surround the settlement, marked by farm roads and ditches, creating a loose, open patchwork across most of the map.

Maao Map Poster & Print
Maao is a community within Bago City in the province of Negros Occidental, in the western Visayas. The land here is low and largely flat, part of the broad coastal plain on the western side of Negros. On a map, a compact cluster of streets sits among wide agricultural land, with roads running out in several directions towards neighbouring barangays and towns.
Sugarcane has long dominated this part of Negros, and the Maao area is associated with sugar milling. Around the settlement, the map is organised by cane fields: big irregular plots divided by farm roads, drainage ditches and small creeks. Houses gather more densely along the main roads and thin out quickly as the fields take over.
A Maao map poster is a picture of a working rural landscape, where the rhythm of planting and milling shaped the settlement. It is not a famous place, but for families who have lived and worked here across generations, the pattern of streets and fields is familiar and personal. It is recognisable immediately.

Roadside settlement
Homes and buildings follow the main roads in dense lines, so the built-up area appears as a set of connected strips, not a single block.
Flat coastal plain
The low, even terrain of western Negros lets roads run long and straight, with only small creeks adding curves to the drawing.
