Magdalena Map Poster & Print
Magdalena lies in Buenos Aires Province in Argentina, southeast of La Plata and inland from the wide estuary of the Río de la Plata. The town follows the classic pattern of the pampas: a regular grid of square blocks around a central plaza, with roads running out straight across flat countryside.
Around it, the land is given over mainly to cattle ranching and farming. Toward the estuary, the ground becomes lower and wetter, with coastal grasslands and woods along the shore. Part of this coastline belongs to a protected biosphere area that stretches along the Río de la Plata.
A Magdalena map poster shows the clarity of a planned pampas town: an orderly grid, a central square and roads fanning out into open country. It suits people with roots here and anyone drawn to that spare, even geometry.
