Mandalī Map Poster & Print
Mandalī lies in Diyala province in eastern Iraq, close to the border with Iran, where the Mesopotamian plain begins to rise toward the Zagros foothills. The town centre is compact. From above, it is surrounded by orchards and date palm groves divided by irrigation channels.
Water has always shaped the town. Its gardens depend on seasonal streams and canals coming off the hills, and periods of drought have hit the orchards hard. The border location has also given Mandalī a long role in trade and movement between the two countries.
A Mandalī map poster sets a dense core of streets inside a ring of cultivated plots, with canals marking their edges and roads leading east toward the frontier. The contrast between garden land and open, dry ground gives the print a clear, legible structure.

Irrigation channels
Narrow canals thread through the gardens and along field edges. Together they show how carefully water is shared across the land.
Roads to the border
Routes lead out from town toward the nearby Iranian frontier. They give the composition a clear eastward direction.
