Marana Map Poster & Print
Marana stretches across the desert northwest of Tucson in Pima County, Arizona. The mostly dry bed of the Santa Cruz River runs through it, and Interstate 10 follows the same corridor. The town covers a large area. There are older farm grids in the flat valley, newer neighbourhoods toward the Tortolita Mountains, and open desert in between.
Farming, including cotton, shaped Marana's early history, and the square fields of the valley floor are still clearly visible. More recent growth has added winding golf-course communities and master-planned subdivisions in the foothills, including Dove Mountain, set against the saguaro-covered slopes.
A Marana map poster captures the Sonoran Desert pattern of growth. Straight section-line roads divide the valley into large squares, the interstate and the river bed run diagonally across them, and curving suburban streets gather near the mountains. The mix of rigid grid and free curves makes a striking black-and-white composition.

Marana draws people for its open space, desert light and mountain views. A map of it suits a new home in the foothills or someone who wintered in southern Arizona and wants to remember the landscape.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with your street or the year you arrived. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand and Paper complement the desert tones.
