Riverside sits on the eastern edge of Dayton, in the southwest of Ohio. From above it reads as a mix of curving residential streets and older straight blocks. Arterial roads run out from the city toward the suburbs further east. Its northern side follows the Mad River corridor, and to the east the ground opens into the wide, orderly layout of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
The contrast is what makes the map worth a look. Small lots and cul-de-sacs sit right up against the huge rectangles of airfield pavement and base infrastructure.
