Sédhiou Map Poster & Print
Sédhiou is the capital of the Sédhiou Region in southern Senegal, in the Casamance area between The Gambia and Guinea-Bissau. The town stands on the Casamance River, and the river dominates the map: a wide channel with soft curves and marshy margins, running along the edge of the town.
The streets form a compact network on higher ground near the water, with roads heading inland through the green, well-watered landscape typical of Casamance. The riverbanks and wetlands appear as broad open spaces that contrast with the finer lines of the town itself.
A Sédhiou map poster shows a settlement shaped by its river. The water gives the composition a strong natural curve, and the town sits beside it as a tight cluster of streets. It is a map that makes sense of why the town is here at all, where land meets a navigable waterway in the south of the country.

Riverside town
Sédhiou's streets cluster on the ground above the water, forming a compact centre that stands out clearly beside the open river.
Roads inland
Routes leading away from the river connect the town to the rest of Casamance, adding straight lines that balance the curving water.
