The Chubut valley
The Chubut River winds along the south of town. Its irrigated floodplain forms a band of small fields and channels, sharply different from the open steppe beyond.

Trelew Map Poster & Print
Trelew lies in the lower valley of the Chubut River in Argentine Patagonia. From above it is a clear rectangular grid of blocks and plazas, set just north of the river. On one side are irrigated fields with a fine pattern of ditches and field edges. On the other, the dry steppe stretches away almost empty.
The town grew up in the late nineteenth century around the railway built by Welsh settlers, and its name comes from Lewis Jones, one of the colony's leaders: Tre Lew, the town of Lewis. Chapels and tea houses across the valley still reflect that heritage.
Trelew is also known for the Egidio Feruglio Paleontological Museum, which displays some of Patagonia's major dinosaur finds. A Trelew map poster shows a grid built by settlers at the edge of a vast landscape, with river and farmland giving it a green margin.

Settler grid
The centre follows a regular pattern of square blocks and plazas, laid out along the old railway line. It reads as tidy and orderly on paper.
Steppe edge
North of the built-up area, streets stop abruptly and the map turns almost blank. That sharp edge between town and Patagonian plateau makes a strong graphic feature.

ແຜນທີ່ທີ່ມີຄວາມໝາຍ
Trelew means different things to different people: Welsh heritage, fossil hunting, or a base for trips to Península Valdés and the coast. A map of it marks all of those, and the Patagonian contrast of town and emptiness sits well on a wall.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with a family name or a year of arrival, and choose from five styles. Sand suits the dry steppe, while Noir gives the grid and river a sharp nighttime look.
