Berrouaghia is a town in Médéa province, south of the city of Médéa, in the uplands of the Tell Atlas. The terrain is hilly and open, and the town has grown across that ground in a mix of older central blocks and newer residential districts. On the map, streets bend with the slopes, while main roads link the town to Médéa and the plains further south.
The surrounding countryside has long been farmed, with fields, orchards and scattered settlements that give the edges of the map a patchwork texture. Because Berrouaghia is not a widely documented place, the poster is best read for what it shows directly: the density of the centre, the lines of the main roads and the gradual fading of the town into agricultural land.
