Irregular lane pattern
Rather than a grid, the streets here grow from a few main routes, branching into short lanes and paths that give the map a hand-drawn, organic quality.

Quelele Map Poster & Print
Quelele is one of the neighbourhoods that make up greater Bissau, the capital of Guinea-Bissau, set on the broad peninsula where the Geba River widens into its estuary. From above it reads as a patchwork of compact house plots and narrow unpaved lanes, a quieter texture than the planned blocks of the old colonial centre, loosening wherever the built area meets open land.
A Quelele map poster captures that kind of organic urban growth well. Main roads run like spines through the district, and smaller tracks branch off them at irregular angles, following property lines and footpaths rather than a surveyor's grid. In black and white, the density of the lanes becomes the main subject, and the pattern of a lived-in place shows through clearly.
Wider context gives the map its setting. Bissau as a whole is shaped by water: the Geba estuary, tidal channels and low mangrove shores define its outline on every regional map. Quelele sits within that larger form, and depending on framing, the poster can show the neighbourhood alone or place it within the capital's sprawl.

Main road spines
A handful of wider roads carry traffic through the district and link it to central Bissau, forming the strongest lines on the poster.
Estuary setting
Bissau occupies a peninsula on the Geba estuary, so wider framings of Quelele bring in water, shoreline and the flat coastal land that surrounds the capital.

Kāpēc Quelele
Karte ar nozīmi
A map of Quelele is usually a personal choice: a home neighbourhood, a family address, a place remembered from years spent in Bissau. The poster keeps it simple, just the shape of the streets, which is often enough to bring the place back.
You can set the title and subtitle to a street, a family name or a year, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to match the room where it will hang.
