Alimosho covers a large part of mainland Lagos, from the area around the airport westward toward the border with Ogun State. On the map, it is a broad field of streets with no single centre. Several main roads run through it, linking districts such as Egbeda, Idimu, Ikotun and Igando, each with its own markets and cluster of lanes.
It is often described as the most populous local government area in Lagos State, and the map makes that believable.
