The Ariccia bridge
The viaduct runs straight across the valley at the edge of the old town. On the map it is a clean, direct line through otherwise curving streets.

Ariccia Map Poster & Print
Ariccia sits in the Alban Hills south-east of Rome, one of the Castelli Romani towns that grew up on the slopes of an ancient volcanic landscape. The terrain is anything but flat, and the map shows it: streets bend with the contours, the historic centre holds to a ridge, and wooded valleys cut deep green gaps through the built-up area.
The heart of the town is its piazza, laid out in the seventeenth century with Gian Lorenzo Bernini's church of Santa Maria Assunta facing Palazzo Chigi and its large wooded park. Just beside it, a nineteenth-century viaduct carries the road across the valley on stacked arches, a straight line connecting two sides of the slope. Ariccia is also known across Italy for porchetta, its slow-roasted pork.
An Ariccia map poster captures this layered setting: the compact old centre, the long straight bridge, the dark mass of the Chigi park and the roads that climb and fall toward Albano and Genzano. Rendered in black and white, the contrast between built streets and open slopes feels especially clear.

Bernini's piazza
The main square, framed by Bernini's domed church and Palazzo Chigi, sits at the meeting point of the old streets and anchors the whole composition.
Chigi park woodland
Behind the palace, a large area of old woodland stays almost free of streets. It forms a calm, open shape right next to the densest part of town.

Ariccia is a favourite stop for day trips out of Rome and a home for many who commute to the city. A map of its hilltop centre, bridge and valleys makes a thoughtful reminder of a long lunch, a wedding in the hills or a family house.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a date that matters to you, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Paper and Sand suit the warm stone tones of the Castelli Romani especially well.
