Azamino is a neighbourhood in Aoba Ward, in the northwest of Yokohama. It was developed as part of the Tama Den-en-toshi planned residential area along the Tōkyū Den-en-toshi Line. The land here is hilly, and the streets curve along ridges and valley floors instead of following a grid. From above, the result is an organic pattern of loops, cul-de-sacs and pocket parks.
Azamino Station is the focus of the district. It is served by the Tōkyū Den-en-toshi Line toward Shibuya and is the terminus of the Yokohama Municipal Subway Blue Line.
