Changshouhu Map Poster & Print
Changshouhu takes its name from Changshou Lake, a large reservoir in Chongqing's Changshou District, northeast of the city's central area. The lake was created in the mid-twentieth century by damming a river valley, and the flooded hills now form a scatter of islands and peninsulas. From above, the water fills the frame in an intricate, branching shape.
The name means Longevity Lake, and the area is known as a scenic destination as well as a place to live. The town's streets occupy land along the shore, with roads following the edge of the water and the contours of the hills.
