Kapellen Map Poster & Print
Kapellen lies on the Lower Rhine plain in the west of North Rhine-Westphalia, not far from the border with the Netherlands. The land is almost perfectly flat, so the map is shaped by human geometry rather than relief. A village core, residential streets and a pattern of rectangular fields are crossed by straight farm roads.
Water appears in the form of small streams and drainage ditches, which are characteristic of the Lower Rhine landscape. They run as thin lines between the fields. Clusters of houses and farmsteads interrupt the open land at regular intervals, which gives the wider view a quiet, even rhythm.
A Kapellen map poster suits people who value the understated character of the Lower Rhine: open skies, orderly fields and short distances between neighbouring towns. In black and white the field boundaries become an almost abstract pattern, which works particularly well at larger sizes such as 50×70 cm.

Drainage lines
Small streams and ditches cross the farmland, typical of the Lower Rhine, and add fine, delicate lines between the fields on the map.
Compact village core
The settlement centre is a small, clearly defined cluster of streets, with residential areas extending gently outward into the countryside.

Kapellen is the kind of place people call home for a lifetime. A map of the streets and fields around it makes a warm, unshowy gift for a housewarming, an anniversary or someone who has moved away from the Lower Rhine.
