Ongallur-II is a census town in Palakkad district of Kerala, in the area around Pattambi. Like much of central Kerala, it does not have a single dense centre. Instead, houses are spread along roads and lanes among coconut palms, gardens and paddy fields. From above, the map shows a soft network of curving roads rather than a regular grid.
The Bharathapuzha, Kerala's second-longest river, flows through this part of Palakkad district, and the low ground around it is used for rice cultivation.
