The Paraná River
The river spreads wide along the northern edge of the city. It forms a large, uninterrupted area of water that gives the poster a strong horizon.

Posadas Map Poster & Print
Posadas, capital of the Argentine province of Misiones, faces the Paraná River at one of its widest points. The Paraguayan city of Encarnación stands across the water, and the San Roque González de Santa Cruz International Bridge joins the two. This long road and rail crossing draws a confident line across the river on any map.
The city follows the classic Spanish-American pattern: a regular grid of square blocks around central plazas, bounded by broad avenues. Its riverfront has been rebuilt as a long costanera with walkways and green space. The rebuild came after the Yacyretá dam downstream raised the water level and widened the river along the city's edge.
Posadas is also the usual starting point for visits to the region's Jesuit mission ruins, including San Ignacio Miní. A Posadas map poster keeps the focus on the city's own geometry: its tidy blocks, the costanera and the wide, calm sheet of the Paraná.

International bridge
The San Roque González de Santa Cruz Bridge crosses to Encarnación. It is a slender line spanning the water that links two countries within a single frame.
Costanera
The rebuilt riverfront avenue curves along the shore, softening the edge of the rigid street grid. It traces the new waterline created when the Yacyretá reservoir filled.
