Takada is the central area of Yōrō town in the south-west of Gifu Prefecture, Japan. It lies at the point where the flat, low-lying Nōbi Plain meets the Yōrō mountains to the west. The plain is densely farmed, with a close pattern of rice paddies and irrigation channels, and the settled area follows the foot of the slope.
From above, the town forms a band along the base of the mountains, with streets and a rail line running roughly north to south.
