Val-des-Arbres is a residential area of Laval, the island city just north of Montreal, bordered by the Rivière des Prairies to the south and the Rivière des Mille Îles to the north. The district lies not far from the Rivière des Prairies. Laval was formed in 1965 by merging the municipalities of Île Jésus, and neighbourhoods like Val-des-Arbres grew during the suburban expansion of the following decades.
