Waalwijk Map Poster & Print
Waalwijk is part of the Langstraat, a line of towns that grew along a long road across the north of North Brabant. From above, the town stretches east to west, following that historic ribbon, with newer neighbourhoods and business parks spreading to the north and south. The Bergsche Maas runs a short distance to the north.
The town is known for its leather and shoe industry, which shaped the Langstraat for centuries. The Netherlands Leather and Shoe Museum is in Waalwijk, and the town is also home to the football club RKC Waalwijk. Large industrial and logistics areas appear on the map as broad blocks near the motorway.
A Waalwijk map poster shows the typical Dutch mix of neat residential streets, canals and drainage ditches, and flat polder land. To the southeast lie the Loonse en Drunense Duinen, an area of drifting sand and woodland that gives the wider region an unexpected texture.

Leather town
Leather and shoemaking shaped Waalwijk's growth, and the national Leather and Shoe Museum is here, a reminder of the industry behind the town's form.
Polders to the north
Flat land divided by ditches extends toward the Bergsche Maas, giving the map a pattern of straight lines along the town's northern side.
