Clifftop Chora
The main village sits right at the cliff edge, a tight web of alleys and squares. It is the densest patch of streets on the island and draws the eye on an otherwise sparse map.

Folegandros Map Poster & Print
Folegandros is a thin, elongated island in the southern Cyclades. Its outline is lean and angular, and along much of the coast high cliffs drop straight into the Aegean. A single main road runs along the spine of the island, linking the port to the Chora and continuing north to the scattered farmsteads of Ano Meria. Beyond that road, the map is mostly bare slopes, terraces and footpaths.
The Chora is the island's best-known image. Its whitewashed houses line the very edge of a cliff high above the sea, arranged around small linked squares, while a zigzag path climbs from the village to the church of the Panagia on the ridge above. On the map, this cluster forms a dense knot of lanes pressed against a straight drop to the water.
A Folegandros map poster shows how little room the island leaves for anything superfluous. The land is narrow, the settlements are few, and the coastline does most of the work. It is a composition of long lines and short bursts of detail, and it tends to appeal to those who went looking for a quieter Cycladic island and found it here.

Karavostasis harbour
The port lies in a small bay on the east coast, where the ferries arrive. From here the road climbs inland, and on the poster you can follow its curves up toward the Chora.
Ano Meria spine
North of the Chora, the road runs along the ridge through the dispersed homesteads of Ano Meria. The houses appear as scattered points rather than a village grid, reflecting the island's farming past.

Яагаад Folegandros гэж
Утга учиртай газрын зураг
Folegandros is often a deliberate choice, picked for its quiet and its cliffs rather than for nightlife. A map of it becomes a reminder of a particular kind of summer: long walks, a village on the edge of the sea, and evenings in a square looking out at nothing but water.
Personalise the poster with your own title, a subtitle such as the dates of your stay, and the coordinates line. Pick one of five styles, from Classic black & white and Noir to Paper, Blueprint and Sand, and choose between a $9 HD download or a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
