Inner harbour
The harbour basins extend from the sea into the heart of the town. Quays and bridges divide the streets on each side, and the water forms a large, angular shape in the middle.

Dieppe Map Poster & Print
Dieppe is on the Normandy coast, where the valley of the Arques reaches the English Channel between high chalk cliffs. On a map, the harbour basins extend inland through the town. The old streets group tightly between the harbour and the beach, and a long, straight seafront runs along the pebble shore. Behind it is a wide strip of lawn.
The town has been a port for centuries, and ferries still connect it with Newhaven on the English coast. A castle stands on the western cliff above the beach. Dieppe is also remembered for the 1942 Allied raid, which involved mainly Canadian troops and is commemorated along the shore today.
A Dieppe map poster brings together all the elements of a Channel port town. The harbour water divides the town into sections, the old centre lies in the valley bottom, and the cliffs rise on either side of it. The long, clean seafront line makes the whole composition easy to read at a distance.

Between the town and the pebble beach, a long, open lawn runs parallel to the shore. On the poster it is a calm, empty strip below a line of buildings.
Chalk cliffs
The town lies in a gap in the cliffs, and the castle stands on the western side. The coastline rises steeply on either side of the valley.

Peta yang bermakna
Dieppe is often the first sight of France for people arriving on the ferry, and it is a place many Canadians visit to remember 1942. A map poster keeps the harbour, the beach and the cliffs in one simple frame.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised with a date, a crossing or a family name. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 digital files include six print sizes, from A3 to 24×36 inches.
