Dushi is a town in the municipality of Chongqing, in south-western China. The region is known for its steep terrain, and Dushi sits in hilly country cut by streams and small valleys. From above, the town looks compact, with streets squeezed into the flatter ground and roads bending to follow the contours.
Development here follows the land rather than a regular plan. Main roads run along valleys and around hillsides, while smaller streets climb where the slopes allow. Farm terraces, orchards and woodland fill the surrounding hills, and the built-up area ends where the ground becomes too steep.
