Lebach lies in the centre of Saarland, in the valley of the Theel, a small river that flows south toward the Prims. The town grew along the valley floor, and on a map the core forms a compact knot near the water. Residential streets then climb the surrounding hillsides in curving loops that follow the terrain.
Several villages that are now part of Lebach sit in the countryside around it. Each has its own small street cluster, separated from the others by fields and patches of forest. The overall map looks less like one city than a constellation: a main town in the valley with satellite settlements scattered across rolling ground.
