Batu Gajah Map Poster & Print
Batu Gajah lies in the Kinta Valley of Perak, a short distance south-west of Ipoh. The town was once an administrative centre of the tin mining district, and the landscape around it still carries that history. From above, the most striking features are the many water-filled former mining pools scattered across the valley floor.
The town itself is compact, with a small core of streets near the Kinta River and residential areas spreading outward along the main roads. On a monochrome map the old mining lakes appear as irregular pale shapes, giving the surroundings an unusual texture. Nearby is Kellie's Castle, the unfinished mansion of a Scottish planter, one of the best-known sights in Perak.
A Batu Gajah map poster suits anyone with roots in the Kinta Valley or an interest in Malaysia's tin mining past. It shows a town where the land still records its industry, with the river, the roads to Ipoh and the scattered lakes arranged on one sheet.

Kinta River
The Kinta River runs past the town, a thin line through the valley that connects Batu Gajah with Ipoh upstream and the rest of the Kinta district.
Road toward Ipoh
Main roads link the compact town centre with Ipoh and neighbouring settlements, drawing clear lines across a flat valley floor between limestone hills.
