Biggleswade Map Poster & Print
Biggleswade is a market town in Bedfordshire, set on the east bank of the River Ivel in flat country between London and Peterborough. From above, its shape is defined by transport lines. The A1 curves around the western edge, the East Coast Main Line runs through the town, and the river winds along the west side.
The historic centre is small, with a market square and older streets close to the river, while newer housing has grown outward in estates to the east. Biggleswade was the home of Dan Albone, a Victorian inventor known for early tandem bicycles and one of the first practical agricultural tractors.
A Biggleswade map poster shows the tidy logic of an English market town: a compact core, a river that wanders, and straight modern lines of road and rail framing it. In black and white, the Ivel's bends soften an otherwise orderly plan.

A1 and railway
The A1 bypass and the East Coast Main Line form two long, strong lines across the map, framing the town and its growth over time.
Market town centre
The older core around the market square is a small, dense cluster of streets, clearly different in scale from the curving estates beyond.
