Main road spine
The principal road runs through the town as its clearest feature, and the built-up area follows it closely rather than spreading out in every direction.

Butemba Map Poster & Print
Butemba is a town in Uganda's Central Region, in the farming country north-west of Kampala. It is a small place, and its map is shaped less by dense streets than by the roads passing through it and the open land between settlements. Fields, patches of woodland and homesteads are spread widely across gently rolling ground.
As in many small Ugandan towns, the trading area gathers along the main road, with shops and houses set close to the verges. Tracks and footpaths branch off toward outlying villages and farms in a loose, irregular network. On a black-and-white print this becomes a sparse drawing where each line carries weight and the empty areas describe the rural setting.
A Butemba map poster is a personal rather than a famous image, made for people who know the place first-hand. A wider scale brings in neighbouring villages and the roads that link them. A closer view focuses on the town centre and the lanes that lead out from it into the countryside.

Branching tracks
Smaller roads and tracks leave the centre at irregular angles to reach outlying homesteads, which gives the map a loose, almost hand-drawn character.
Open farmland
Most of the surrounding area is cultivated or wooded land with few mapped features, so the poster leaves generous white space around the town.

အဓိပ္ပာယ်ရှိသော မြေပုံ
Small towns rarely appear on printed maps, which is exactly why a personal poster of one means something. It suits someone who grew up in Butemba, a family marking a return home, or a gift that recognises where a story began.
Set a title and subtitle, such as a family name or a date, and adjust the coordinates. Choose one of five styles, from Classic black & white to Blueprint, then download the $9 HD files or order a matte print, with or without a wooden frame.
