Cantù Map Poster & Print
Cantù lies in the province of Como in Lombardy, on the hilly edge of the Brianza between Como and Milan. From above, the historic centre sits on higher ground, with streets following the slope and converging on a few squares. Around it, the town spreads into residential districts, small industrial areas and patches of wood and farmland.
Cantù is known for two crafts in particular: fine furniture making, which has long defined the local economy, and bobbin lace, the pizzo di Cantù. It is also home to a well-known basketball club. Just outside the centre, the Romanesque basilica of San Vincenzo in Galliano, with its frescoes and baptistery, is one of the oldest monuments in the area.
A Cantù map poster shows a typical Brianza pattern: a dense old core, then a looser web of roads connecting the town to neighbouring villages. In black and white, the curving streets of the centre and the green spaces between districts form a composed, understated image.

Brianza fabric
Workshops, villas, housing and small woods intermingle around the centre, creating the mixed, finely grained landscape typical of the Brianza.
