Ruled field pattern
Around the town, straight field boundaries and access tracks form long parallel strips. This agricultural grid covers most of the frame and gives the poster its graphic character.

Chalkidóna Map Poster & Print
Chalkidóna sits on the broad alluvial plain of Central Macedonia, west of Thessaloniki, where the rivers descending toward the Thermaic Gulf spread out into level farmland. From above, geometry dominates. Rectangular plots, long straight roads and drainage channels divide the land into regular strips, and the town appears as a denser knot where several of these lines meet.
The local street pattern is compact and practical. It has a central cluster of blocks with roads leaving in several directions toward neighbouring villages and the main routes to Thessaloniki. Because the surrounding land is so flat, the map has no contour drama. Its interest lies in how the ruler-straight field lines contrast with the slightly irregular grain of the older streets.
A Chalkidóna map poster is a natural choice for families with roots in the plain and for anyone who grew up among its fields. In monochrome it reads almost like a textile, a woven surface of agricultural lines with the town at its centre.

Drainage channels
Irrigation and drainage canals cross the plain in long, deliberate lines. They mark how carefully this low, wet ground has been managed for farming.
Compact town core
The built-up area forms a tight cluster of short streets where regional roads converge. On the map it looks like a knot tied into the larger fabric of fields.
