Chinchiná Map Poster & Print
Chinchiná sits in the Andes of Caldas, in Colombia's coffee-growing heartland, on the slopes above the river that shares its name. Almost no ground here is flat. On a map, the town's grid stretches along a ridge, with streets dropping away steeply at the edges. The surrounding land is folded into valleys covered with coffee plantations.
The town is at the centre of Colombia's coffee industry. Cenicafé, the national coffee research centre, is based here, and the area is part of the Coffee Cultural Landscape recognised by UNESCO. The road between Manizales and Pereira runs nearby and links it with the rest of the Coffee Axis.
A Chinchiná map poster shows a grid adapting to the mountains. There are straight blocks where the ridge allows them and bent streets where it doesn't, and rural roads snake down the valleys toward the farms. It is a place where the topography is written into every line.

River valleys
The Chinchiná River and its tributaries cut deep valleys around the town. On the map they shape where roads can and cannot go.
Coffee country roads
Narrow rural roads wind across the slopes to farms and hamlets. They make a fine, loose web around the edges of the print.
