Irrigation canals
Straight canals and distributaries cross the surrounding land. On a monochrome print they read as long, confident strokes that frame the town from outside.

Chishtian Map Poster & Print
Chishtian lies in Bahawalnagar district, in the flat southern part of Punjab where canals shape the landscape as much as roads do. On the map, long straight watercourses and field boundaries run across the countryside at clean angles, and the town sits among them as a denser patch of streets and building footprints.
The town takes its name from the Chishti Sufi order. It is associated with the shrine of Baba Tajuddin Chishti, which remains a focus for pilgrims. Around it, farming depends on the canal network that has turned this edge of the Punjab plain into productive ground.
A Chishtian map poster sets two kinds of line against each other: the tight, looser streets of the town and the ruled straight lines of the irrigation system around it. That contrast gives the print a clear structure, even though the place itself is modest and flat.

Town centre
The older centre is a compact cluster of streets and markets, the densest part of the map. It thins out gradually toward newer neighbourhoods at the edges.
Field geometry
Farmland around the town is divided into regular plots. The boundaries form a faint grid that fills the outer parts of the poster with quiet order.

အဓိပ္ပာယ်ရှိသော မြေပုံ
Many people from southern Punjab now live far from home, and a map of Chishtian is a simple way to keep the town present in daily life. The canal lines give the print a graphic quality that works in modern rooms.
Change the title, subtitle and coordinates line to name a family, a neighbourhood or a year. Then choose from five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
