Canal network
Waterways run through and around the town in every direction. Some are straight channels, others follow older curving courses, and together they dominate the map.

Chóngfú Map Poster & Print
Chóngfú is a town in Tongxiang, part of Jiaxing in northern Zhejiang. It sits on the Hangjiahu plain, one of the most densely irrigated landscapes in China, where canals, rivers and ponds cover a large part of the land. From above, the town looks threaded with water, with streets and buildings arranged along the channels.
The town is widely known for its fur and leather trade, with large specialist markets drawing buyers from across the country. That commercial growth shows on the map as newer blocks and wide roads added around the older, canal-side core, which still follows the curving lines of the waterways.
A Chóngfú map poster captures a very particular Jiangnan landscape. Fine canals, fields broken into small plots and a town built with water on every side produce an intricate, almost lace-like image in black and white.

Old canal-side core
The historic centre grew along the water, with lanes running parallel to the canals. Its fine-grained pattern stands out from the newer blocks.
Market district
Newer commercial areas linked to the fur and leather trade appear as larger blocks and wider roads. They show how the town expanded beyond its canal core.
