Deshnoke Map Poster & Print
Deshnoke lies in the Thar Desert about thirty kilometres south of Bikaner in Rajasthan, on the main road and railway toward Nagaur and Jodhpur. From above, the town is a compact knot of streets surrounded by pale, open ground, with long straight transport lines passing close by.
The town is known across India for the Karni Mata Temple, dedicated to a revered local sage and famous for the thousands of rats that live within it and are treated as sacred. Pilgrims arrive throughout the year, and the temple area forms the heart of the settlement.
A Deshnoke map poster shows the town's close, irregular lanes against the emptiness of the desert, with the road and rail lines running off toward Bikaner. The contrast between dense centre and wide open surroundings gives the print a stark, striking balance.

Thar Desert setting
Beyond the last houses the map opens into desert and dry farmland, leaving the town as a small, dense shape in a wide, almost empty field.
Road and rail south
The highway and railway from Bikaner pass by the town on their way south, two long lines that cut straight across the desert landscape.
