El Copey Map Poster & Print
El Copey is a town in the Cesar Department of northern Colombia, in the warm lowlands between the Magdalena valley and the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. Its layout is simple and practical: a main road passing through, a grid of blocks on either side, and a central square near the heart of the town.
Around the edges, the map turns to open land. This is cattle and farming country, with large parcels, scattered farm tracks and streams coming down from the higher ground to the east. The mountains are not in the town itself, but their presence is felt in the watercourses and the gradual rise of the land.
An El Copey map poster keeps the town's clear block pattern at the centre and lets the surrounding countryside fill the frame. The through road gives it a strong line, the grid a steady rhythm. It is a straightforward, recognisable portrait of a Caribbean Colombian town.
