Famaillá Map Poster & Print
Famaillá lies southwest of San Miguel de Tucumán, in the fertile lowland at the foot of the mountains that rise to the west. Like many Argentine towns, its centre follows a regular grid of square blocks around a main plaza. On a map that grid stands out sharply against the long rectangular fields around it.
This is sugar cane country, and the land around the town is divided into large cultivated plots, with a few straight roads and old rail lines running through them. To the west the terrain starts to rise and the landscape becomes more irregular, a sign of the forested ranges that shape Tucumán province.
Famaillá is best known in Argentina as the home of the Fiesta Nacional de la Empanada, held there every year. A Famaillá map poster shows the town behind that festival: a neat grid of blocks, a central plaza, and the geometric farmland spreading out toward the mountains.

Cane field geometry
Large rectangular sugar cane plots surround the town, their straight boundaries continuing the grid's order out into the countryside.
Rising western edge
Toward the west the land begins to climb toward Tucumán's ranges, and the map's regular lines give way to more irregular, hillier ground.
