Colonial grid
The historic centre is laid out in regular blocks around a main square. This creates a neat, symmetrical core in the middle of the poster.

Galapa Map Poster & Print
Galapa is in the Atlántico department, just southwest of Barranquilla, and forms part of its metropolitan area. The town centre follows the classic Spanish colonial layout: a regular grid of blocks around a central square. Around it, newer neighbourhoods and industrial zones have grown along the roads leading to the city.
The town is known across Colombia for its carnival masks. Local artisans carve and paint wooden masks of animals and figures that are worn during the Barranquilla Carnival, and the craft has become part of the town's identity. The surrounding land is low, warm and relatively dry, with scattered woodland and farmland.
A Galapa map poster shows a town caught between village and city. The old grid is small and orderly, while newer streets spread out less evenly toward Barranquilla. In black and white, the square at the centre remains the anchor, surrounded by blocks that gradually loosen toward the edges.

Roads to Barranquilla
Main roads run northeast toward the city. Newer neighbourhoods and industrial sites have grown along them.
Open land to the south
Beyond the built-up area, the land becomes scrub and farmland. This gives the map wide, quiet margins.
