Hofgeismar Map Poster & Print
Hofgeismar lies north of Kassel in a gently rolling part of northern Hesse. Its old town forms a compact, rounded core of narrow streets and half-timbered houses, still following the line of the medieval town layout, with later residential districts spreading out on all sides.
To the east stretches the Reinhardswald, one of the largest continuous forests in Germany. Within the municipality lies the Sababurg, a castle associated with the Sleeping Beauty tale, which gives the area a strong link to the German Fairy Tale Route.
A Hofgeismar map poster shows the tight, organic pattern of the historic centre against more open surroundings. Field boundaries, country roads and forest edges frame the town, and in black and white the medieval core stands out as a dense, dark oval at the heart of the composition.
