Hoji ya Henda Map Poster & Print
Hoji ya Henda lies in the northeastern part of greater Luanda, the fast-growing capital region of Angola. On the map it appears as a dense urban area, where small blocks and narrow streets fill almost all available land between a few larger roads that carry traffic toward the city centre.
The street pattern is a mix of planned sections with more regular blocks and areas that grew up informally, with paths and lanes following the ground rather than a fixed plan. This combination gives the map a fine, detailed texture that is typical of many outer districts of Luanda.
The district is named after Hoji ya Henda, a commander in Angola's independence struggle. A Hoji ya Henda map poster is an image of everyday Luanda, a closely woven neighbourhood where millions of short streets and paths together form the city.

Planned and unplanned
Regular grid sections sit alongside areas that grew organically, and the contrast between them is clearly visible from above.
