Highway axis
The national highway runs straight through town, the strongest line on the poster and the reason for much of Islāmpur's commercial activity.

Islāmpur Map Poster & Print
Islāmpur is a town in Uttar Dinajpur district in the north of West Bengal, close to the border with Bihar. It lies on the national highway that links the plains of Bengal and Bihar with Siliguri and the northeast, and much of its growth has followed that road. On the map, a dense core of streets sits along the highway, with lanes branching out on either side.
The land here is flat and fertile, crossed by rivers and streams, and fields come right up to the edges of the town. Because Islāmpur is a regional centre rather than a widely documented place, an Islāmpur map poster focuses on what can be seen from above: the highway, the market streets and the green surroundings.
The composition has a clear logic. A strong line of highway runs across the sheet, with the town clustered around it and a looser pattern of village roads and paths at the edges. Rendered in fine black lines on light paper, it becomes a quiet, balanced image with a strong sense of direction.

Market core
Around the highway, a dense cluster of narrow streets forms the busiest part of town, drawn on the map as a dark, detailed centre.
Flat river plains
Beyond the streets, open fields and small watercourses stretch across the flat land, a light and even texture framing the town.
