Dense lanes
In the centre, narrow lanes bend between closely built houses. Their irregular pattern is the most detailed area of the poster.

Kakrāla Map Poster & Print
Kakrāla is a town in Budaun district in western Uttar Pradesh, on the wide, flat plain of the Ganges basin. The countryside around it is intensively farmed, and villages are spread evenly across it. On a map, the town appears as a dense group of streets and buildings, with roads leading out toward other settlements in the district.
The older part of Kakrāla is closely built, with lanes that turn and narrow between houses. Around it, newer building extends along the main roads. The town serves as a local centre for markets, schools and services for the surrounding villages, and this is reflected in the way roads meet there.
A Kakrāla map poster shows a North Indian country town simply and without decoration. The dense centre, the roads to the villages and the open land around them create a balanced composition. For anyone with family in Budaun district, it is a map that is rarely printed anywhere else.

Village roads
Roads leave the town in several directions toward neighbouring villages. On the map they are long, slightly curving lines across the plain.
Open plain
Around the town, the flat farmland has few roads. This leaves generous open space around the centre, which makes it stand out clearly.
