Kānchrāpāra Map Poster & Print
Kānchrāpāra is a town in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, north of Kolkata. It is best known for its railway workshop, founded in the 1860s and one of the older major rail workshops in India. The workshop and its surroundings shaped the growth of the town, and on a map they form a large, distinctive area beside the main railway line.
The Sealdah suburban line runs through the town, and the station is a busy stop for commuters heading toward Kolkata. Around it, residential streets form a close-knit pattern, while railway colonies have more regular layouts with wider plots. To the west lies the Hooghly River, and farmland and ponds fill the spaces between the neighbouring towns.
A Kānchrāpāra map poster captures a town whose identity grew up around the railway. It shows the large workshop site, the rail lines passing through, the housing built for railway families and the network of lanes around them.

Sealdah line
The suburban railway runs straight through the town and connects it to Kolkata, giving the composition a strong central axis.
Railway colonies
Housing areas built for railway staff have more orderly layouts than the surrounding neighbourhoods, and this difference is visible from above.

အဓိပ္ပာယ်ရှိသော မြေပုံ
For railway families and people who grew up near the workshop, Kānchrāpāra is closely tied to their family history. A map poster keeps that connection visible long after a move to Kolkata or further.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a family name or the year someone joined the workshop. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
