Winding lanes
Small roads curve around homesteads and groves, forming an intricate network that looks almost hand-drawn on a black-and-white print.

Kottappally Map Poster & Print
Kottappally lies in the northern part of Kerala, in the Malabar region, a little way inland from the Arabian Sea. As in much of this coast, there is no sharp line between town and countryside. From above, houses are spread among trees and gardens, and roads twist between them in a network that follows the land rather than a plan.
The map shows many small lanes branching off a few connecting roads, along with paddy land, canals and streams in the lower ground. Settlement is continuous across the area, so the street pattern links smoothly with neighbouring villages, and the green spaces between houses are part of the texture rather than empty gaps.
A Kottappally map poster brings out that dense, organic character. Curving roads and small paths fill the frame, and the waterways add soft lines of their own. It is a portrait of a lived-in Kerala landscape, detailed and irregular, and it reads best when you know which road leads where.

Low-lying fields
Paddy land and wet ground in the lower areas break the settlement into irregular patches, giving the map open spaces between houses.
Streams and canals
Small waterways wind through the landscape, adding thin, soft lines that run alongside and beneath the road network.
